Who we are

Routing Forensics is the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@routingforensics.com.

What we collect, and why

• When you send the enquiry form: your name, work email, company, CRM, routing tool, topic and message. We use them only to reply to you and to discuss your enquiry. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
• When you email us: the same, from your email.
• When you visit: our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and browser details to serve and protect the site. We use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own site.
• When you run the free scan: nothing is sent to us. Your export is read in your browser. To run the checks, your browser downloads Python from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, which receives your IP address in doing so.

Who else sees it

Cloudflare hosts the site and passes form messages on. Resend delivers our emails, including a confirmation to you when you send the form. Messages arrive in an inbox hosted by Google. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Where a provider handles data outside the UK, the transfer is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 12 months after our last exchange, unless they become a customer relationship, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@routingforensics.com. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Using the Routing Forensics app

Customers who use the app receive a separate notice covering sign-in, their team and the data we read from their CRM. There, the customer is the controller and we process data on their instructions.
